Love at First Sight? What if you don’t bond with your baby?

When my first child was born back in 2005, I was ready. I had wanted a baby for a long time; I had spent my adolescence babysitting and working with children in all sorts of forums and formats; I had planned, read and thought about every aspect of my pregnancy, delivery, and the first days at home with baby. The excitement was compounded when we found out we were expecting a little girl (based on Hub’s family history, I expected us to have all boys). I was so very ready to welcome this little bundle of joy to our family!Baby Days

While the delivery went according to plan, afterwards things went awry. I didn’t bond with my baby right away, and I felt so guilty, and like the worst mother in the world. Join me over at One Fun Mom today as I talk about what to do if you don’t bond with your baby right away. This is part of a special Baby Days series celebrating and exploring Moms and Babies!
