Fall is my absolute favorite season. Perhaps its from growing up in the desert where we barely experienced two seasons (hot and…not so hot). Perhaps its the promise of warmth and coziness.

Whatever it is, I.love.fall. I love the colors, the smells, the flavors. I’m in full support of adding pumpkin to all the things.

Autumn BlissI also fall victim to the temptation to rush right past fall and bull rush straight into the holiday season. So when I saw that Denise from Denise in Bloom had collaborated with Lori Ramsey to write an eBook about how to really get the most out of the fall season, I scooped up a copy right away.

Autumn Bliss compiles ideas, recipes, devotions and decorating tips all designed to help you slow down and embrace an attitude of gratitude – and cultivate it throughout  your home and family.

Perhaps my most favorite thing about this book – and I loved the whole thing – is that when it comes to decorating your home for fall the primary focus is cultivating warmth. Denise and Lori encourage you to use natural elements, and elements you already have in your home. There’s not even a hint of Pintrest Perfection Syndrome and I absolutely love that!

Friends, I loved this book so much I read the entire thing in one day! That’s even with having three kiddos running around, schooling, etc! It’s an easy read and will be a seasonal staple for my family for sure!

Today I’m so excited to be giving away a copy of Autumn Bliss to one of you (you don’t have to own a Kindle device to read this. You can download a Kindle app for free and read it that way)! I’m going to keep this one simple.

  1. Comfortably warm days, crisp nights; fresh apples; color- heavenly ! The smell of wood smoke. Since I was child I have loved the autumn, even the word. Autumn gives me a sense of history, time passing , nostalgia. BY The way, I also love books:)

  2. My favorite thing about fall is a number of things combined. It’s the beautiful colors that God creates in such an awesome display, the sound of geese as they fly south, the cool crisp mornings, the crackling of a campfire and the sweet sounds of family and friends sharing memories and stories, it’s the beautiful pumpkins and flowers and gourds, the slowing down of our lives as the season turns from fun in the sun to the coziness of time spent with family. The fall is the time when the earth prepares to rest and we turn our focus to our family. This is just a glimpse of what fall time means to me.

  3. I went from loving fall to disliking fall, and now I think I’m back to being in love with it. The air is so crisp and I get to wear my scarves while looking at all of the deep and natural colors around me. It’s difficult to have a real fall while you’re in college, but that just makes me want to try all the more 🙂

  4. I love fall leaves and looking at the trees. All the colors of this season are so cozy and warm. The air is filled with nostalgic aromas , you know…. woodsmoke , oatmeal, cider, apple and pumpkin pies. a soup simmering teasing us before its ready. My favorite thing of all is tha my sister and I both have Birthdays. Though separated by 2 years our birthdays are one day apart right next to each other on the calendar. I am the elder, and love this unique thing. it is “ours”.

  5. I love the smell of fall, the leaves changing color and the crunch of the leaves when u step on them. I love family fires, making skiers with the kids and just enjoying the cooler weather. Also I love going to our local Apple orchards with the kids, going on hayrides, and picking apples.
